Before or After You Visit
- Explore the Walker's collection online. Visit www.artsconnected.org to find out more about the art and artists.
- Play with a few online activities.
- Get information about visiting the Walker (admission fees, hours, and location).

Tips to Make Your Visit More Fun
- Relax and enjoy! Let your children be the guides and show you what they want to see. You don't have to cover all the galleries today. Visit again and explore something new next time.
- Ask questions and share ideas about what you are looking at together. There's no need to be an art expert or focus on historical facts to have an engaging visit or conversation.
- Try to relate what you are looking at to something the kids are learning in school, an object they have at home, or things they've seen in other places.
- If you stand a few steps back from the artwork, it's easier to see and helps the gallery guards know you are not touching it.

Help Protect the Art
Gallery guards are here to protect the art. Help them by following these few important rules.
- Remember: Look, don't touch.
- Use pencils, not pens, markers, or crayons in the galleries.
- Don't run or shout inside the Walker.
- Don't use cameras in the galleries.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in the galleries.

Things to Do at the Walker
- Check out a WAC Pack or Garden Pack. These kid-sized backpacks contain creative activities that are engaging for kids and adults alike. Rental is free at the lobby desk, but you'll be asked to leave an ID or credit card in exchange.
- Borrow a sketch pad and pencil at the lobby desk. Create your own artwork or write about your visit.
- Pick up an Artwork of the Month brochure at lobby desk, then go on a search for the featured artwork in the galleries or Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
- Visit Gallery 8 Restaurant for lunch or dessert in a room with a view and an outdoor terrace. If the tempting adult menu doesn't appeal to you, ask for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
